Embarrassingly, considering this is the first Scotland match since I started this blog, I will be watching Scotland v. Argentina tomorrow from the comfort of my desk at work. There's just too much to do and too little time this week. I'll be there with Scotland shirt and Scotland scarf, yelling if we manage a goal just as loudly as if I was at Hampden. I have a very understanding boss. Argentina is a tough ask for Scotland on our best day, and this is frankly not our best day. But, with Barry Ferguson, Alan Hutton and James McFadden all making comeback appearances, you never know. This one might not mean much to them, and it's a bonus game for us - no one expects much from us. A result would do wonders for morale going into the toughest match of the World Cup qualifiers - our March trip to Holland.
Mon the Scots.

9 days to Argentina
In 9 days, Scotland hosts Argentina (and new manager Diego Maradona) at Hampden for a glamour friendly that should also be a good run out for some young Scottish players. In the wake of the astounding miss by Chris Iwelumo, and Kris Boyd apparently losing his interest in Scotland caps, the striker position should be especially interesting.
Still waiting to see where we'll be able to watch here in town. I'll be back on by the weekend with an update.

Oregon TA on Facebook
Even the most traditional among us are being gagged and dragged into the 21st century. The Oregon Tartan Army, still sporting that new-blog smell on this site, is also now on Facebook. Check out The OTA group - it's a bit more interactive than this blog is likely to be for a while, so join up. Cheers.
Welcome to the Oregon TA
Welcome to oregonta.blogspot.com, the home of Scotland national team fans in Oregon, USA. This is only the beginning of what I hope will eventually be a much larger site and community. Here, I'll be posting information about where to watch upcoming Scotland matches, as well as news about Scotland as it pertains to our little corner of the Northwest. If you're a fan of the Scotland NT living in Oregon (or anywhere else, for that matter), please leave a comment, and hopefully we can grab a pint over a match sometime. Cheers.
